Answer:

Fractional distillation can be used to separate pure water from ink.

Explanation:

Water vaporizes at a lower temperature than ink, hence on heating the mixture, water will evaporate first leaving behind the ink pigment in the flask.

The colour of the mixture turns darker as water concentration reduces and ink becomes more concentrated.

Hope this helps

Method: One option would be to use distillation.

What is Distillation: Distillation is the process of separating the components or substances from a liquid mixture by using selective boiling and condensation. Distillation may result in essentially complete separation, or it may be a partial separation that increases the concentration of selected components in the mixture.

Process: Put the inky water in a container and heat the water to boiling. Pass the steam through a cooling coil to convert it back to liquid and collect the purified water.

Color of the mixture: The colour of the mixture will be dark as water concentration is less and ink becomes more have more concentration.

I hope it will help you :)
