2.A- The effects of the Wood's Despatch in 1854 were:

  • The creation of a separate department for the administration of education in each province.
  • The founding of the universities of Calcutta, Bombay, and Madras in 1857, and  
  • The introduction of a system of grants-in-aid.

3.A- Schools before British were divided into 3 types. You may know Mughals or Muslim rulers were ruling India so wherever it was a Muslim Kingdom : Madrassa or Muslim school + Hindu School which excluded the Shudra Community & Buddhist School where all Hindus & other religions were taught.
