Answer:

My immediate action is to help the animal. I will first check if the animal is wounded.

If yes, I will at once take it to the vet.

If no, I will take it to my home and feed it. (everyone breathes a sigh)

All the while, I will be searching for any "LOST ANIMAL" articles or posters to return the animal to it's owner.
