To me, the integer 2 is the smallest prime number.

And I have my reasons for that.

Let's start it from 0.

0 is the smallest number but it's neither prime nor composite.

Now what comes after 0. It's 1 and it has only one factor which is itself. So, 1 can't be a prime number.

2 comes after 1. It has factor 1 and 2 itself. And we know that a prime number is a number which can be divided by either 1 or itself.

Therefore, 2 is the smallest prime number.
