Hello ICSE follower! I also study in ICSE school too.
Explanation:
In Act I Sc3 Antonio and Bassanio decide to meet up with Shylock the Jew to finance Bassanio's venture to win Portia. With great reluctance Shylock agrees to lend the amount of 3,000 ducats; but before lending Bassanio the money Shylock in order to avenge all the insults of Antonio the benevolent christian plans to trap him in a vicious contract. Bassanio of course is shocked at this demand and straight away smells a rat for he is well aware of Shylock's evil reputation and his hatred for Christians in general. So in order to save his friend from the evil clutches of the greedy Jew, Bassanio asks his friend Antonio not sign the bond.
The dramatic irony being that in the earlier part of the scene Shylock has confessed to us in an 'aside' his evil intentions against Antonio.

Answer:
Bassanio tells Antonio that he will not have him make such an agreement on his account. He adds that he would rather remain as poor as he is now and do without his wants supplied at such a price.
