Why do plants and animals need nitrogen in form of nitrates and nitrites?
Do you think that the amount of nitrogen in the atmosphere reduces as it is converted to the

The plant can generally obtain the nitrogen in the form of nitrates, and nitrites by the root yet they are converted to NH3 further on need . *some plant also exhibit nitrogen fixation by bacteria thus absorbs atmospherical N2 too *.

No amount of nitrogen in the atmosphere will not reduces because to balance it nitrogen cycle is there .
