It is difficult yo practice physical distancing in a country like ours because our country is densely populated.

  • India has the second most populous country in the whole world. Infront of this large amount of population the total land area of our country is insufficient. This causes the high population density of our country.
  • Now, to maintain physical distance or social distance, we need certain amount of space for each individual person. And this availability of space for individual person is inversely proportional to the population density.
  • The public places, the public transportations are the prime examples where physical distancing is nearly impossible in our country. The reason is the same, - 'small space but large population'.
  • So, the high population density is the primary reason in this case.
