2 wires having same length and material .their cross sectional areas are in the the ratio 3:1 they are joined in series if the resistance of thicker wire is 19 ohm the total resistance of combination is ??

Expalination= R is inversely proportional to cross sectional area of wire if l is constant

R1/R2=a2/a1 resistance of thinner wire is R1= 19×3

Resistance in series=19×4
