2.The people of the Indus Valley civilisation provided explicit attention to elaborate town planning: The streets cut each other at right angles. The main streets were over 800 metres long and 10 metres wide. They were also curved at the corners in order to make it easy for bullock carts to pass.
3.Before farming, people lived by hunting wild animals and gathering wild plants. When supplies ran out, these hunter-gatherers moved on. Farming meant that people did not need to travel to find food. Instead, they began to live in settled communities, and grew crops or raised animals on nearby land.
