Answer:

I grew up in Shimla which is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh in the northern part of India. Large ,oak trees and green lawns, surrounded by hills covered by pine trees formed my neighborhood.

The streets were quite , with the only sound of birds singing and some cars were passing once in a while. During the cold, snowy winters, most people stayed inside and one could smell wood burning in fireplace and see smoke coming out from chimneys.

In summer, you can see peoples walking with their dogs. you can smell the cut of fresh grass, and it is a safety

Now, I visit Shimla once a year in my vacation . Now Shimla had changed much like getting more population, traffic and got developed by having malls , theaters , restaurants etc.... I feel nostalgic when I think about Shimla.
