Answer:

So, a six-digit number is to be formed with the digits ‘2’, ‘9’, ‘0’ and ‘4’. Since, we are concerned about forming smallest possible six-digit number, so the situation deserves the smallest digit ‘0’ to be used on maximum possible occasions, here thrice.

Also, a six-digit number can never start with ‘0’.

So, the answer will be 200049

The smallest 6 digit number using digits 4,2,0,9:-

\purple\longrightarrow 2,00,049

The greatest 6 digit number using digits 4,2,0,9:-

\purple\longrightarrow 9,00,042

a) Sum of two numbers = 9,00,042 +2,00,049 = 11,00,091

b) Difference of two numbers = 9,00,042 - 2,00,049

= 6,99,993

Hope it helps :)
