SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

The definition of associative property of addition and verify for the following: a = 9 , b = - 13 , c = 25

EVALUATION

Associative property :

If a , b, c are three Real Numbers then associative property on addition states that

 \sf{a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c}

Here the given numbers are

a = 9 , b = - 13 , c = 25

Now

 \sf{a + (b + c) = 9 + ( - 13 + 25) = 9 + 12 = 21}

 \sf{ (a + b) + c = (9 - 13) + 25 =  - 4 + 25 = 21}

 \sf{a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c}

Hence verified
