Acids:- i)these are sour in taste.

ii) They turn blue litmus to red.

iii) They give H+ ions in aqueous solution.

iv) Acids corrode metals.

example -hydrochloric, citric etc.

Bases:-i)These are bitter in taste.

ii)They turn red litmus to Blue.

iii) They give OH- ions in aqueous solution.

iv)Soapy in touch

example - Naoh (sodium hydroxide) ,NH4OH (ammonium hydroxide ).

Salts:-It's an ionic compound foamed by Neutralization reaction.

example-Nacl, Cacl.
