2. Write the LHS and RHS of the following equations :
(a) x -2y = 0
(b) 4x + 6y = 24
(c) 3x + 12 = 3x - 3
(d) 3x + 2y = 12
(e) x - y = -7
(f) 3y = 5x - 10

Answer is:-

(a) LHS = x-2y & RHS = 0

(b) LHS = 4x+6y & RHS = 24

(c) LHS = 3x+12 & RHS = 3x-3

(d) LHS = 3x+2y & RHS = 12

(e) LHS = x-y & RHS = -7

(f) LHS = 3y & RHS = 5x-10

Hope it helps you dear......xd

Answer:

(a) The solution x = 0 means that the value 0 satisfies the equation, so there is a solution. “No solution” means that there is no value, not even 0, which would satisfy the equation

(b)4x +6y = 24

subtrat 4x on both sides

4x+6y-4x = 24-4x

6y =24-4x

divide with 6 on both sides

6y/6 = (24-4x)/6

y= 24/6 - 4x/6

y= 4 - 2/3 x

(c) 3x + 12 = 3x - 3

these questions is uncorrected

(d) In 3x + 2y = 12, let x = 0. Then 2y = 12 or y = 6, making the y-intercept (0, 6).
