(√2)^x+1=4^2x-1. find the answer

√2^(x+1)=2^{2(2x-1)}

√2^{x+1}=2^{4x-2}

2^{(x+1)/2}=2^{4x-2}

if the bases are same, powers are equal

then

(x+1)/2 =4x-2

x+1=8x-4

7x=5

x=5/7
