 {2}^{x + 1}  =  {4}^{x - 3}  \\  => {2}^{x + 1} =  {2}^{2(x - 3)}   \\  =>  {2}^{x + 1}  =  {2}^{2x - 6}

Thus now same base, we can equate the power,

=> x + 1 = 2x - 6

=> x - 2x = (-6-1)

=> - x = (-7)

=> x = 7.

Thus the value of x is 7

Answer:

2^x+1 = 4^x-3

2^x+1 = 2^2(x-3)

x+1 = 2(x-3)

x+1 = 2x-6

x-2x = -6+1

-1x = -7

x=7
