To solve 2(x - 1) - 6x = 10 - 2(x - 4)

=> 2x - 2 - 6x = 10 - 2x + 8

=> -4x - 2 = 18 - 2x

=> -4x + 2x = 18 + 2

=> -2x = 20

=> x = 20/-2

=> x = -10
