2x-4-3x+9=5x-25
-x+5=5x-25
6x-30=0
x=30/6
x=5

25Vedant: the first step is not right
25Vedant: it will be 9 not 6.
smritisaraswat: sorry

(2x-4)-(3x+9)=5x-25
2x-4-3x-9=5x-25
2x-3x-4-9=5x-25
-x-13=5x-25
-x-5x=-25+13
-6x=-12
minus sign on both side get cancelled
Then,
6x=12
x=12/6
x=2

smritisaraswat: i think in first step you multiplied -3. and again u multiplied( -)
25Vedant: yes we have to
25Vedant: ask this question to your friends or anyone who teaches you
smritisaraswat: i am a teacher of my own , nobody needs to teach.
