Answer:
2/x + 2/3y = 1/6
2/x - 1/y = 1 ( multipy with - )
the new equation is
2/x + 2/3y = 1/6
- 2/x + 1/y = - 1
if u add it then
+2/3y + 1/y = -5/6
= 2/3y + 3/3y = -5/6
5/3y = -5/6
3y = 5 divided by -5/6 = -6
y = -6/3 = -2
subistitute this,
2/x + 2/3(-2) = 1/6
2/x = 1/6 - 2/-6
2/x = 1/2
x = 2 divided by 1/2
which is 4
x = 4
hope it helps....
so, x= 1
y = -2
