2/x + 2/3y = 1/6

2/x - 1/y = 1 ( multipy with - )

the new equation is

2/x + 2/3y = 1/6

- 2/x + 1/y = - 1

if u add it then

+2/3y + 1/y = -5/6

= 2/3y + 3/3y = -5/6

5/3y = -5/6

3y = 5 divided by -5/6 = -6

y = -6/3 = -2

subistitute this,

2/x + 2/3(-2) = 1/6

2/x = 1/6 - 2/-6

2/x = 1/2

x = 2 divided by 1/2

which is 4

x = 4
