apply elimination method
then (i)×5=10u+15v=65
(ii)×2=10u-8y=-4
Now (i)-(ii) = 23v=69
v=3
putting the value of v in equation (i)
2u+3×3=13
=2u=4
=u=2
so, 1/x=u, 1/y=v
1/x=2,1/y=3
x=1/2 & y=1/3
