Heya!!!

Here's your answer friend,

2x + 3y = 17 ....( 1)

2x + 2 - 3y + 1 = 5

2x - 3y + 3 = 5

2x - 3y = 2 ......( 2)

therefore, by elimination method in (1) and (2) we get,

2x + 3y = 17
2x -3y = 2
_________

4x + 0 = 19

==> 4x = 19

==> x = 19 / 4

therefore by substituting the value of x = 19/4 in eq( 2) we get,

2x - 3y = 2

2 (19 / 4) - 3y = 2

==> 19/2 - 3y = 2

==> (19 - 6y) / 2 = 2

==> 19 - 6y = 4

==> -6y = 4 - 19

==> y = 15/6

==> y = 5 / 2

therefore x = 19/4 And y = 5/2

Hope it helps you : )
