Given

  • Two Equations
  1. 2/√x + 3/√y = 2
  2. 4/√x - 9/√y = -1

To find

Value of X and y

solution

Let 1/√x = a

1/√y = b

Now new Equation will be

2a+3b=2 _____(1)

4a-9b= -1 ________(2)

Now multiply by 2 in Equation (1)

4a+6b=4_______(3)

Solving by elimination method

4a-9b= -1

4a+6b=4

________

-3b=3

b=1

putting the value b =1 in Equation (1)

2a+3=2

2a=-1

a=-1/2

Now putting the value in these 1/√x = a

1/√y = b to get actual answer

X=1

√y=-2

y=√-2(this is not possible)

so,for y we have to put iota in it..

 Hey!\: Mate -

\frac{2}{√x} + \frac{3}{√y} = 2----(1)

\frac{4}{√x} - \frac{9}{√y} = -1----(2)

 On \: multiplying \: eq.(1) \: by \: 2

\frac{4}{√x} + \frac{6}{√y} = 4-----(3)

 From \: eq.(3) \: - \: eq.(2)

 \frac{15}{√y} = 5

 \frac{15}{5} = √y

 √y = 3

 y = 9

 Now ,

\frac{2}{√x} + \frac{3}{3} = 2

\frac{2}{√x} + 1 = 2

\frac{2}{√x} = 1

 √x = 2

  x = 4

 I \: Wish \: it'll \: be \: helpful \: for \: u.
