2/x+3/y = 9/xy

  • (2y+3x)/xy=9/xy
  • after cancelling xy fom LHS and RHS

2y+3x=9.

  • 4/x+9/y=21/xy
  • (4y+9x)/xy=21/xy
  • 4y+9x =21
  • after getting these both equation we solve it for x&y by emimination or any other which is comfortable then we get
  • x=1and y=3

\Large{\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\;to\;the\;Question}}}}

2/x + 3/y = 9/xy …………...(a)

4/x + 9/y = 21/xy …………...(b)

Now,

Multiply (a) and (b) by xy we get,

2y + 3x = 9 ………….(c)

4y + 9x = 21 ……….(d)

Now,

Nultiply (c) by 3 we get,

6y + 9x = 27 ……….(e)

Now,

Subtract (d) from (e),

2y = 6

y = 6/2

y = 3

Now,

Substituting value of y in (d),

4y + 9x = 21

4 × 3 + 9x = 21

12 + 9x = 21

9x = 21 - 12

9x = 9

x = 9/9

x = 1

Therefore,

x = 1 & y = 3
