we get 2x=9+3y

so put the value of 2x=9+3y in equation 2x+y=13

so

9+3y+y=13

9+4y=13

4y=13-9

4y=4

y=1

then, put the value of y=1 in equation 2x=9+3y

then

2x=9+3(1)

2x=12

X=6
