Given -

2(x + 5) + 3(x - 10) =  - 5

We have to find out the value of x.

given equation,

2(x + 5) + 3(x - 10) =  - 5

Multiply the numbers with bracket we get

2x + 10 + 3x - 30 =  - 5

The number having same variable is get added

5x - 20 =  - 5

Shift -20 to right side it becomes+20

5x =  - 5 + 20

5x = 15

Divide both sides by 5 we. get

x = 3

Therefore,

The value of x is 3 .

By the value of x=3 in LHS of given equation you get the RHS . These shows our ans is right

LHS =

2(x + 5) + 3(x - 10)  \\  =  2(3 + 5) + 3(3- 10) \\  =2(8) + 3( - 7) \\  = 16 - 21 \\  =  - 5

-5 = RHS

So, answer is verified
