It may be written as :
 {2x}^{2} - 7x
You need to tell the whole question for its further solution.

shubh8426: yes

2x^2 -7x =0
2x^2 =7x
both have one on both of their side we will one one x from both side so we will get
2x=7
x=7/2

shubh8426: not a answer
shraddha0906: But its not given that it's equal to zero
zebia: quadratic equation are always equal to zero
shraddha0906: No they aren't
shraddha0906: If so then u might hv solved the sums like at x = 1. Then we write p(1) instead of p(x)
shraddha0906: So if x=1
shraddha0906: Then 2x^2 - 7x = 2×1-7×1=2-7=-5
shraddha0906: And do you think that -5 is equal to 0? I think that u hv not reached 9th yet. You are in 8th or 7th?
