x=1 nd x= -2 is correct ans ..

agrawal: the given question is an inequality not an equation

Given 
2 - x - x² = 0
⇒ 0 = x² + x - 2
⇒ x² + x - 2 = 0
⇒ x² + 2x - x - 2 = 0
⇒ x(x + 2) - 1(x + 2) = 0
⇒(x + 2) (x - 1) = 0
⇒ x + 2 = 0    or    x-1 = 0
⇒ x = -2         or    x= 1
∴ x = -2 , 1
