 \frac{(2 + x)( \times  - 7)}{(x - 5)(x + 4)}  =   \frac{1}{1}  \\ (2 + x)(x - 7) = ( x - 5)(x + 4) \\ 2(x - 7) + x(x - 7) = x( x + 4) - 5(x + 4) \\ 2x - 14 +  {x}^{2}  - 7x =  {x}^{2}  + 4x - 5x + 20 \\  - 5x - 14 =  - x - 20 \\  - 5x + x =  - 20 + 14 \\  - 4x =  - 6 \\ x =   \frac{3}{2}

hope it helps u ✌️✌️

To solve :

 \sf \frac{(2 + x)(x - 7)}{(x - 5)(x + 4)}  = 1 \\  \\ \sf By \: cross \: multiplication, \: we \: get \\  \\ \sf (2 + x)(x - 7) = (x - 5)(x + 4) \\ \sf 2x - 14 +  {x}^{2}  - 7x =  {x}^{2}  + 4x - 5x - 20 \\ \sf {x}^{2}  - 5x - 14 =  {x }^{2}  - x - 20 \\ \sf {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  - 5x  + x =  - 20 + 14 \\ \sf - 4x =  - 6 \\ \sf 4x = 6 \\ \sf x =  \frac{6}{4}  \\  \\ \sf x =  \frac{3}{2}
