Equation Given :-

2 {y}^{2}  + 6y = 3. \\  \\ 2 {y}^{2}  + 6 y- 3 =0.

Applying Formula :-

 d \:  =  {b}^{2}  - 4ac

 =  {6}^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times  - 3. \\  \\  = 36  + 24. \\  \\  = 60.
