Hi
Let Rohit's present age be y and that of his his daughter be x years.
By the problem,
y - 2 = 3(x - 2)
=>3x - y= 4..(1)
And,
y +6 = 2(x+6)+ 4
=>2x - y = -10...(2)
Subtracting equation 2 from 1, we get
x = 14 years
Substituting the value of x in 1,
3(14)-y = 4
=>y = 38 years
Thus, Rohit is presently 38 yrs old while his daughter is 14.
Hope this helps :)
