Solution:-

Let the age of Salim be x years.

& Age of His Daughter's age be y years.

2 years ago,

Age of Salim = (x-2)

Age of his Daughter= (y-2)

A.T.Q.

(x-2) = 3(y-2)

=> x = 2 + 3y -6

=> x = 3y -4__________(1).

3 years later,

Age of Salim = (x+3)

Age of his Daughter= (y+3)

A.T.Q.

(x+3)= 2(y+3) +2

=> x + 3 = 2y + 6 + 2

=> 3y - 4 = 2y + 8 (from eq 1.)

=> 3y -2y = 8+4

=> y = 12

Putting y=12 in eq.1

x = 3y - 4

=> x = 3×12 -4

=> x = 36 - 4

=> x = 32 years.

Hence,

Salim's Age = 32 yrs.

& His Daughter's Age = 12 years.
