2. You have learnt that plants respire, so they use up oygen and give out carbon diote. You also
know that plants are considered helpful because they use up carbon comide and produce
oxygen during the process of photosynthesis. How do you think the two things so is it that
plants return (to the air) at least a part of the oxygen they use up or is it that they produce more
oxygen than they use up?​

Plants use photosynthesis to capture carbon dioxide and then release half of it into the atmosphere through respiration. Plants also release oxygen into the atmosphere through photosynthesis.
