2) You recently visited the seaside promenade with your friends and were unhappy to see the area. Write a letter to the editor in about hundred to 120 words about the careless and poor hygiene of the food stall owners at the promenade and the need to enforce strict rules.

RE: POOR HYGIENE AT THE FOOD STALLS AT THE SEASIDE PROMENADE

Dear sir,

I write this letter in reference to the above mentioned issues. A few days ago, i happened to make a visit at one of our seaside promenade and what i saw left me speechless hence this letter. State of hygiene at the stalls was sickening. What has our city got to? Dirty stagnant water allover, flies, dirty utensils smelling, it is so disturbing. You cannot even think of having a meal there. why are our local authorities not doing their job for goodness sake? what happened to general cleaning that used to take place in this area every month? This is a breeding ground for diseases if we are not careful enough. Right from where the first stall is all the way down, the situation is so disturbing and to think people are cooking here? I cannot fathom. How do we expect tourists with in this state? Even if they came, what kind of impression will be be creating for the outside world? That we are a dirty nation and people should just get used to that? No way! City council, please do something.

Subject: Poor maintenance and poor hygiene of the food stall owners at beaches

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my concern over the problem of poor maintenance of beaches and poor hygiene of food stalls at seaside promenades. Recently I visited a seaside promenade with my friend in Goa. I was shocked to see the littered beach. What shocked me the most was the unhygienic conditions of the food stalls selling food stuff and drinks at the promenade!

I just wonder at the negligence and indifference of the authorities looking after the beach and promenade. I believe no tourist would like to revisit that beach once he sees the squalor there. Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I appeal to the municipal authorities to look into the issue and take the needful measures.

Yours truly,

Gagan Sethi
