\huge\rm{\boxed{ Question:- }}

Solve:-

20+2-17×32-49+64=???

\huge\rm{\boxed{ Solution:- }}

=> 20 + 2 - 17 × 32 - 49 + 64

Using BODMAS rule,

=> 20 + 2 - 544 - 49 + 64

=> 22 - 544 + 15

=> 22 - 559

=> -537

Hence the answer is (-537)

Let's learn BODMAS rule:-

As per BODMAS rule, the brackets have to be solved first followed by powers or roots (i.e. of), then Division, Multiplication, Addition, and at the end Subtraction. Solving any expression is considered correct only if the BODMAS rule or the PEDMAS rule is followed to solve it.

For further information, you can definitely check solution with para explaination here:-

The BODMAS rule states we should calculate the Brackets first (2 + 4 = 6), then the Orders (52 = 25), then any Division or Multiplication (3 x 6 (the answer to the brackets) = 18), and finally any Addition or Subtraction (18 + 25 = 43).

Note:-

Children can get the wrong answer of 35 by working from left to right.

Small errors that children do while solving BODMAD:-

Just follow the rules of BODMAS to get the correct answer. If there are no brackets or orders, then start with division and multiplication. 7 ÷ 7 = 1 and 7 × 7 = 49.

Funfact about BODMAS rule:-

BODMAS was introduced around 1800s.
