To solve : (-20)-(+7)÷ (-8)

Solution:-

To solve the above equation we will follow BODMAS rule .

It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

where, B = brackets

           O = order of powers or rules

           D = Division

           M = multiplication

           A = addition

           S = subtraction

  • Above rule we will solve (-20)-(+7)÷ (-8)

      arranging terms properly :

        = -20 - \frac{7}{(-8)}

    cross multiplying terms

       = \frac{-160 - 7}{-8}

    on solving we get, = \frac{-167}{-8}

       = 20.875

   Hence 20.875 is the required answer.
