And we are asked to find the time taken to cross the bridge.

We know, to cross the bridge the train needs to cross the bridge and itself too thus,

  • s = total distance = 150+850

  • s = 1000 m

Again, we know

  • distance = velocity×time

  • time = distance/velocity

  • t = s/v

Putting the values we get,

  • t = 1000/12.5

  • t = 80 sec.

Thus it will take 80 sec.
