Number of flowers in basket = 625

Number of baskets = 16

So, Number of flowers in 16 baskets = 625 X 16 = 10,000 flowers

Number of flowers = No of temples in the city

So, Number of temples in the city = 10,000

Answer:

There are 10,000 temples in the city.

Additional Information:

  • When we know the number of flowers in each basket and also the number of baskets, we can multiply them to get the Total number of flowers.
  • When we get total number of flowers, we can equate them to the Number of temples in the city.
  • Multiplication is Repeated Addition. It is to add equal groups.
