Area of horizontal - line = l×b

l×b =24 m× 4m = 96 m²

Both pathway intersect at one place so we will substract on pathway's area.

So, area of that intersected square = side × side

side × side = 4m × 4m = 16m²

Therefore, the area of both the pathways = 64m² + 96m²- 16m² = 144m²
