20. An object starts motion with a finite velocity 'u' and
under a uniform acceleration 'a', it acquires a velocity
of 12 m s-1 in 3 s and 18 m s-1 in 6 s. Calculate the

Answer: u = 6, a = 2

Explanation:

V1=u+a*3 = 12 => a=(12-u)/3

V2 = u+a*6 = 18 => a = (18-u)/6

equate both

(12-u)/3 = (18-u)/6

24-2u = 18- u => u = 6

put u in any equation

a = (12-6)/3 = 2
