Answer:

What is the greatest 4 digit number divisible by each of the numbers 6, 9,15?

Prime factors of 6,9 and 15 are-

6=2 x 3

9=3 x 3

15=3 x 5

L.C.M of 6,9 and 15=90

Greatest 4 digit number is 9999.

When we divide 9999 by 90.

That is 9999/90 (Purely divide 9999 by 90 without reducing it to 1111/10 )

Remainder is 9.

So, the required number = Largest 4 digit number - Remainder

=9999−9

=9990

Therefore, our answer is 9990.
