A globe is a spherical model of Earth, of some other celestial all body, or of the celestial sphere. globes serve purpose similar to some map, but unlike maps, do not distort the surface that they portray except two scales. a model globe of earth is called a terrestrial globe. generally, there are three types of globe. globe is the only accurate way to study the whole earth. a a globe is more accurate than a flat map because it mimics the true shape of the earth. Martin Behaim invented the globe with help of painter George Glockendon in 1492.
