Let the 5 men should leave the work after x days.

Given that 20 men can reap in 20 days.

Then 1 men can reap the field in 20 * 20 = 400 days.

Given that 5 men leave the field. So that the remaining 15 men can complete the work in 24days.

Therefore 20x + 15 * 24 = 400

                 20x + 360 = 400

                 20x = 400 - 360

                 20x = 40
           
                 x = 2.

Therefore 5 men should leave the whole field after 2 days.
