I THINK I AM RIGHT

Step-by-step explanation:

As in 4 hours , 20 men can cut 30 trees.

So, in 1 hour , 20 men can cut 30 trees / 4.

So, in 6 hours, 20 men can cut 30 * 6 trees / 4 = 45 trees.

If 4 men left the work so rest people  = 20 - 4 = 16.

Now, 20 men can cut 45 trees in 6 hours.

So, 1 man can cut 45 trees / 20 in 6 hours.

And ,16 men can cut 45 * 16 trees / 20 =  36 trees in 6 hours .

The answer will be 36.

Given:

  • Number of trees cut in 4 hours = 30
  • Total number of men = 20

To Find:

  • The total number of trees cut in 6 hours when 4 men leave the group.

Solution:

Let,

M_1 = total number of men

T_1 = Time taken to cut 30 trees

N_1 = Total number of trees cut

Total number of men when 4 of the men left are,

M_2 = 20-4 = 16

T_2 = 6 hours

We form a formula with the help of given data to find the total number of trees cut in 6 hours by 14 men(N_2).

M_1T_1N_2 = M_2T_2N_1  → (equation 1)

On substituting the given values in the equation (1) we get,

⇒ 20×4×N_2  = 16×6×30

⇒ 80N_2 = 2880

N_2 = 2880/80

N_2 = 36

∴ 36 trees are cut in 6 hours by 14 men.
