20 men complete 1/3 part of a piece of work in 20 days .how many more men should be deployed to complete the remaining work in 25 more days?

you first of all multiply 20 and 1/3 and then from obtain result compare with 25 days and you get your successive result

20 men ----- 20 days ----- 1/3 work

20 men ----- 5 days ----- 1/12 work

now

20 men completes 1/3 work in 20 days

in next 25 days these men complets another 1/3 + 1/12 work

= 5/12 work

so original batch completes
1/3 +5/12 = 3/4 work


so another 1/4 work remains

now ,
20 men ----- 1/12 work ------ 5 days

60 men ------ 1/4 work -------- 5 days

12 men ------ 1/4 work -------- 25 days

so extra 12 men requires
