Answer:

Plate A will be a thin strip of pure copper

Plate B will be thick lode of impure copper

The solution will be Copper Sulphate

In the process, when current is passed, the impurities in the anode i.e. impure copper will come and settle down on the surface and the pure strip of pure copper will be obtained from anode.

Note that some impurities will come on the cathode i.e. pure copper

Answer:

Hii... Your answer is here,

Explanation:

i) cathode

ii) anode

iii) copper sulphate solution

process of purification:

.The materials to be electroplated is made the cathode.

.In this experiment, the iron spoon is taken as the cathode and the pure copper rode is taken as the anode.

. In this experiment, the electrolytic solution taken is the copper sulphate solution.

. On passing the electric current through the electrolytic cell, the copper from cu2+ ions get dissolved in the solution.

.on the other hand, all the cu2+ions get deposited at the cathode, making the cathode to get a coating of copper.

. The reactions are as follows:

At cathode:

cu-2e_cu2+

At anode:

cu2++2e_cu
