present ages of Aarushi and Ravish are x and y years respectively, represent this
situation algebraically as well as graphically. ​

Given age of Arushi is x years and Ravish is y years 7 years ago age of Arushi is (x – 7) years 7 years ago age of Ravish is (y – 7) years Given that (y – 7) = 7(x – 7) Þ y – 7 = 7x – 49 ∴ 7x – y – 42 = 0 à (1) 3 years later age of Arushi is (x + 3) years 3 years later age of Ravish is (y + 3) years Given that (y + 3) = 3(x + 3)  Þ y + 3 = 3x + 9 ∴ 3x – y + 6 = 0 à (2) 7x – y – 42 = 0
