20 similar cubes have a total volume of 4320 cm3. What is the edge of 1 cube?

Given:-

  • Volume of 20 cubes = 4320 cm³

To find:-

  • Edge of each cube

Solution:-

Volume \: of \: 20 \: cubes = 4320{cm}^{3}

 Volume \: of \: each \: cube = \frac{4320}{20}

 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 216{cm}^{3}

Now,

 We \: have \: volume \: of \: 1 \: cube = 216 {cm}^{3}

We know,

Volume \: of \: a \: cube = {(side)}^{3}

Therefore,

216 = {(side)}^{3}

 => side = \sqrt[3]{216}

 => side = 6cm

Therefore edge of 1 cube is 6cm.
