9x - 4y = 14 and 7x - 3y=11​

Answer:

9 x - 4 y = 14

multiply both side with 3

so, the equation become

27 x - 12y = 42. ................eq (1)

now, 7 x - 3 y - 11

multiply both sides with 4

so the equation becomes

28 x - 12 y = 44. ................eq (2)

equation (1 )- (2)

by elimination method

27x - 12y = 42

-28x + 12y = -44

-x. = -2

therefore, x = 2. ....................eq(3)

now 9x - 4y = 14. (from equation 3)

9(2) - 4y = 14

18 - 4y = 14

-4y = 14-18

-4y = -4

y = 1

therefore x= 2 and y = 1
