Answer:

x=7

Step-by-step explanation:

=> [(x - 3) + 1] / (x + 3) = 1/2

=> (x - 2) / (x + 3) = 1/2

=> x + 3 = 2 (x - 2)

=> x + 3 = 2x - 4

=> x - 2x = -4 -3

=> -x = -7

=> x = 7

The number = x - 3/x = 7-3/7 = 4/7

let the numerator be x

So the fraction would be x/x+3

ATQ x+2/x+3+5

= x+2/x+8

now, x+2/x+8=1/2(given)

By cross Multiplication

2(x+2) = 1(x+8)

2x+4=x+8

2x-x=8-4

x=4

The rational number is x/x+3

which is equal to 4/7

Hope it helps you ❤
