hey here is your answer
Most of the things that we eat and useare made up of covalently bondedcompounds. For example, plastic, petroleum and wood. Water is acovalent compound and is used for various purposes. Even food that we eat and the oxygen that we breathe is in the form of covalently bonded molecules.
hope this helps you dear ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Covalent compounds can exist in all the three states of matter; solid, liquid or gas at room temperature. Due to weak intermolecular forces, covalent compounds have low melting and boiling points. Large number of carbon compounds is covalent compounds and involve in different fields. They have low enthalpies of fusion and vaporization. Due to absence of ions and free electrons, covalent compounds are good insulators like diamond. Many covalent compounds are essential part of our everyday life such as water, ammonia, methane gas, chlorine gas etc. Many organic compounds like vinyl chloride, ethene etc are used in the manufacturing of polymers like polythene, PVC etc. Oxygen gas which is life for living organisms is also a covalent compound. Kerosene, sugar, carbon dioxide, petroleum products are also covalent compound.
